Good predictions for Poland in 2015

The latest predictions made by the European Union regarding Poland’s economic forecast are more encouraging than ever. With a significant increase compared to the predictions made in late 2014, Poland seems to be on the right track when it comes to economic growth, increase in exports and perspectives for foreign investments. The forecast for 2015 is promising
Poland recorded a significant growth of its GDP in 2014, 3.3 percent, and the predictions made so far for 2015 indicate that this year the growth will be situated at 3.2 percent. According to the same estimates made by the European Commission, in 2016 the country’s GDP growth will be 3.4 percent.
The newest forecast puts Poland’s evolution is a better light than did the predictions made in November 2014 when the forecasted growth for 2015 was only 2.8 percent. Also, Poland’s GDP is the second in the European Union, sharing the spot with Hungary and Malta.
According to the Ministry of Economy, the industrial output in Poland will grow in 2015 by 3.7 percent, compared to only 3.3 percent in 2014. Also, it is predicted that the unemployment rate will maintain a lower value than in 2014.
Sectors that recorded an increase in 2014
The exports and imports sector was one business sector in Poland that managed to do very good in 2014. During January 2014 and December 2014, the total value of Polish exports reached 163.1 billion euros. This translates into an increase of 5.2 percent compared to 2014. Imports recorded an increase of 5.5 percent compared to 2014, amounting to a total of 165.5 billion euros. Germany continued to remain Poland’s largest trade partner. Its contribution to the polish exports was 26 percent and in imports it was 22 percent (with more than 0.3 compared to the previous year). Regarding the type of exported products, Poland managed to export more automotive products in 2014, compared to 2013.
